Electron Microscopy Group

Phillip Crout completed his undergraduate education at the Cavendish.  There he specialised in condensed matter and simulation physics. He then moved (slightly) west and joined the Department of Material Science and Metallurgy to study for his PhD. His current work is in material-agnostic technique led electron microscopy. This includes the development of forward models and pattern matching algorithms as well as time spent on the microscopes. His studentship is funded by EPSRC in combination with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
